Chicano Photographer
Chicano Photographer is a historic collection of documentary photographs exploring San José, California and its growing Chicano community from 1970 to 1975. The images illuminate the activists, artists, issues and landscape of that period. For this important series the photographer gleaned images from his extensive archive. Garza has lectured about and exhibited these photographs from coast to coast and more recently internationally. If the images appear too large, click on them for a more compact version.
